When a packaged granola bar is the only quick option around, it’s often mostly refined carbs and added sugar. These no-bake bites take about 10 minutes, need only three ingredients, and hold up well in the fridge or freezer for whenever a fast snack is needed.

What you’ll need

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or cashew)
  • ⅓ cup honey or maple syrup

Method

Stir all three ingredients together in a bowl until fully combined — the mixture should be sticky but hold its shape when pressed. If it feels too wet, add a tablespoon more oats; if too dry, a small drizzle more nut butter.

Roll into balls about 1 inch across (roughly 2 tablespoons each). Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Easy add-ins

Once you’ve made the base a few times, mix in 2–3 tablespoons of any of these along with the original three ingredients: mini chocolate chips, chia seeds, shredded coconut, or a pinch of cinnamon. These don’t change the method, just the flavor.

Storage

Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months — they thaw at room temperature in about 15 minutes, which makes a big batch a genuinely convenient stash for busy mornings or a mid-afternoon energy dip.
